Lori Karamanlian (1997) is a self-taught abstract artist whose work explores the emotional and spiritual layers of the human experience. With a background in music production, she approaches painting much like composing a piece of music.
Her primary medium are alcohol inks, which are dye-based highly saturated pigments suspended in isopropyl alcohol. While alcohol inks are traditionally used on smaller surfaces, Lori has adapted her technique to larger-scale works on canvas.
In addition to her fine art pieces, Lori also creates functional artworks, including coasters. These smaller pieces allow her to bring art into everyday life while maintaining the same care and intention as her larger works.
Her work has been exhibited in major international art fairs, including New York, Miami, Vienna, with highlights such as being featured as a spotlight artist at Red Dot Miami.
